A New Style of Painting
A trip to Barcelona– Picasso and Gaudi's home town in Spain– was all it took to inspire a new way of painting and looking at the world. In her studio in Minnesota, Denise developed a new style of painting which she calls "Crystal Impressionism". Working in layers of impasto oil paints like the Impressionists, Denise's paintings are filled with light and refracted color.
